First Semester Reflection

Grade 12 First semester was a very fun, tough, but I had a huge satisfaction. I continued Community Service, being the CAS leader of the Library Service, which I found it challenging at first, but got used to it as we went. A lot of members joined in and it was really fun working with them every Thursday after school. Being the leader was a great experience. I gained more confidence leading the members and make them learn new things every time we meet up, such as book shelf organization, ways of organizing magazine section and language section, how to put the numbers to new books, etc.

SAISA Girls' Football was the funest of the fun. Especially this is my senior year, I wanted to do something really active, fun and memorable. And I did. I had four days practice a week, but I was never tired of it. In fact, I was waiting for the practice day to come early, and I was usually the first one to come to Wednesday morning practice and used to sit alone for 20 minutes before everyone else came.

Although it was not part of the CAS, I did the IB Theatre Art Production, which was one of the best memories I made in my high school life. I enjoyed it a lot, and I wish I could include this event as part of my CAS...

I think this semester has made difference and improved my personalities and as a better person. By doing CAS, as well as doing school works, it made me a balanced person, that in the end gave me more confidence in taking more activities.

Library Service

Our aims today were;
  • Organize the Language book shelves,
  • Put the returned books in the shelves,
  • Arrange the books in order.
We worked collaboratively with the members and finished putting the returned books within few minutes.
We splited the team in to half, and two worked organizing the language section and the rest arranged the other book shelves, putting the books in numbers and alphabetical order.

Next week is the last Library Service for this semester, and I may not be coming anymore, therefore I hope I can do everything I need to as a senior and the leader.

SAISA GIRL'S FOOTBALL

Since the field was all wet and muddy, we spent our practice time in the gym. There was a BOY'S BASKETBALL match from 9.30 to 11 a.m, we waited until they finished (we lost).
However, I'm not the type to sit still and wait for the time of our practice to come. I took a ball, grabbed a teammate and started practicing passing the ball on the side of the coat. There were times when the ball was about to go inside the coat... oops!
Other time, I used the wall to practice. Stand close to the wall with 1m distance away. Then kick the ball to the wall softly and use both legs to kick it. This actually helped and was a good exercise.
Another time, I threw the ball to hit the wall that is higher than me, then head it back to the wall when the ball falls. I know I'm struggling with heading the ball during the match, so I need to improve my weaknesses.
Another time, when I had more space, I kicked the ball to the wall in the angle. Stand next to the wall (left), about 1m away and kick the ball 45 degrees to left. Then I start running forward, because when I kick the ball in the angle, the ball bounces in the angle 45 degrees when the ball his the wall. This was a good practice to make me catch up with the ball when my teammate passes the ball to me.

Later on when the basketball finished, we played a small game with two goals on each sides. I was left back. I learned to go in front of the opponent when I get the ball from the goalie. It was an awfully fun practice, I must say.

Library Service

Happy thanks giving!

Annoucement!
Book Week that is coming up! It's from 29th November to 3rd December.
Bring a book to school during this week, as we will get 10 to 20 minutes of reading time in class.
Tuesday, bring your favourite poem, and we will be sharing them with everyone!
Read-a-thon; raise funds by reading books and donate the money to NGO to help build libraries for children in many countries.

We have discussed about the events above during the library service today. We weren't able to make much progress on the Read-a-thon, therefore we will be looking for sponsers who can give the money. This will continue about 4 months, so we are looking forward to raise as much as possible. We will be reminding the students in campus to have at least one book to read for next week.

SAISA GIRL'S FOOTBALL

After school practice from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Practice is the time when a thought I-wish-I-was-in-soccer-school thing comes to my mind.
I don't find the practice so hard, but compare to the first session, it's getting tough. However, at the same time, I'm learning new skills and become confident as I get used to those skills.
At the moment, I find it hard to imagine myself making the team, so I really need to practice harder.

SAISA GIRL'S FOOTBALL

Second day practice. We had a morning practice from 6am to 7am.
The grass was slipperly and had difficulties with playing, indeed. It rained during the practice... heavily, and since I'm having a glasses, I had a lot of difficulties with seeing the ball. At the end, I had to take it off, but managed it. However, there was more enthusiasm than the difficulties, and had a lot of fun. One hour session finished off very fast and... personally I wasn't happy about one hour practice... should've made it 1.30 hours...
We aren't doing much stretch before hand and even after the practice. I have to be careful or otherwise I will be having a bad muscle pain tomorrow.

SAISA GIRL'S FOOTBALL

The MOST HEATED season has finally arrived! SAISA Girls' Football practice has FINALLY started today. We had quite a lot of people, and did general excersizes. About half hour before the end of practice we had a small match, after separating into small teams.

My goals are; to be in the SAISA team, get the position (hopefully MF) and play during the matches!!!

Library Service

We got new books to add to the library. We worked on putting the book numbers, barcodes and the borrowing-stamp page. It usually took the whole CAS time to finish it off when I was alone, but with numbers of crews, we finished it within 15 minutes. We delivered them to Ms. Wolfe later on.
I've noticed everyone's got used to the Library Service now, and they seem to be having confidence in this job. At first, I noticed they didn't have interesting attitude towards their works, but now that they are comfortable in this environment, they've started open up, and there isn't any tensed atmosphere around us anymore.

Sports day 16th September

Sports day! It's the day to get WILD (!), have fun, sweat... and don't forget, it's also the day to get action hours for CAS :)
This year, we divided into three teams; grade 6, 7 and 8 team, grade 9 and 11, and grade 10 and 12. For the first thing in the morning, I played football, then kickball, basketball, and volleyball. After lunch, we had swim gala.
Football was awsome, as it is my favourite sport, how could I not get wild on the field? Although my team lost almost everything and in fact brought my spirits down, I can say with honest that I had A FUN! I wish I could kick more soccer ball... and to a surprise, Mr. Shipley praised me with my play.
Today was also the day, when several sports made me realize that I can't play any other sports except football... I couldn't possibly play basketball or volleyball. I used to play basketball, but since I stopped, now I can't. Kickball is just kicking the ball, which is quite similar to football and baseball, so I didn't find any difficulties. Oh yes, practice and the effort does count even to the sports, not only in education...

Sports day, action goal

16th September is the school's sports day! We have got basketball, volleyball, swimming gala and my favourite football. My goal is to participate the land sports. I signed up for football twice during the house meeting, and someone has signed me up for basketball.
When we are in IB, we do not get a chance to have PE, since it's not in the 6 required subjects. So this is actually a good opportunity to move our body and refresh ourselves from the stresses we get from the IB itself!
This will be counted as my action, and I hope to have one wonderful day with my mates. And of course... I hope my house colour (yellow) wins at the end!!!

Soccer, After school

Me and Saba played football after school for Action. Having physical movement involves in Action, one of the three CAS lists. I haven't had much action last year so I tried to catch up during the summer holiday, but seems they weren't enough. So I hope this will help me balance up creativity, action and service.

Library Service

Community and Service (CS) started today and I became the leader of this year's "Library Service". I had a chat with Mrs. Lockwood about increasing the number of students in the Library Service, since we struggled to organize the book shelves by two younger students and myself. It surely takes time to organize the book shelves, so we decided to have 9 students. We were looking for people from grade 11 to 12, but this year we have students from 9th grade.
It's really good to have more people, since we can finish our work faster and the books are in their proper place. I only wish people start putting back their books in the right place... that's going to reduce our amount of work and we can do other Library Work, that is not book shlef organizing.
After the increased member in Library Service, I'm feeling connected with more people who I've never known. This is one of the best way to learn social connection with the others from different grades. Especially this year, since it's not only IB students, we can get more interected with each other.
I'm looking forward to work with this member this year, and I hope they will keep it up next year when some of them become the leader of Library Service.

Monday Girls' football

Monday afterschool has become a moment of joy for me.
There were more girls joined us today, though not many. We practiced the same steps we've done last time. We set up the cones and we dribbled zig-zag. 10 times for each legs and finally use both legs and dribble for 10 times. This is actually tough.
We practiced our shooting, too. Saba has discovered that if she crunches the feet when kick the ball, she can kick the ball stronger and more accurately. Right now I don't see any difference with my leg, since I'm not as fit as she is. There isn't still any improvement in me, but then I can see that I feel the zig-zag dribble is getting a little bit easier for me, now that I'm practicing it.

Girl's Soccer Monday Practice

My first day of soccer practice after 3 years since I played last. It was Saba and me only today, just did small practice with controlling the ball. We asked other girls around, but they had their own schedule for today.
Since I haven't played for long time, I was not fit at all and got tired within few minutes. I found it difficult to play... how embarrassing. However, this is happening every Monday from now onwards, and as SAISA Girls Football is coming up soon, so this is a good time for me to get started.

Fitness! - the second goal of the summer

I'm still keeping it up. The muscle pain is all gone now, and I don't feel anymore pain on my back. I'm getting used to it, and at the same time getting good at it, but I still hesitate on taking picture of me doing it...
But I'm making some prgress, so when someone is close to my room, I'll just ask him/her to take a picture of me then...

Fitness! - the second goal of the summer

My whole body is in pain. It's not that I didn't stretch after I finished yesterday... I guess I'm not fit at all after all... anyhow...
I sweated more than yesterday, and found it difficult to continue... but I finished it, so "good-job!" to me. I haven't found out any changes in me, but I feel really good after the fitness. So thank god.
Let's continue tomorrow!
Let's not take the picture... it's awful of showing the picture of me doing the fitness...

Fitness! - the second goal of the summer

Third day of my trial on the fitness. My body is getting used to it. The muscle pain I used to having yesterday is gone, by leaving a bit of pain on my back.
My brother joined me today, which was a real fun, and I'm glad I wasn't doing it alone. So it's all good. We both sweated so bad, and we could actually wring his wet shirt.... oh my!

Fitness! - the second goal of the summer

I've decided to do some fitness at home. The reason is... the blood test result I got from few days ago. Although myy neutral fat (or triglyceride) was normal and was less than the maximum amount, it was higher than one of the members of my family who's fatter than I am (and it's a MAN by the way)... therefore I got shocked, which... should be very, clearly and well understood by girls (I hope). So I found this fitness to reduce some of my... triglyceride (wow).
It's TOUGH. More than I was expecting, but feels great after finishing it. I hope I can keep on doing it and reduce IT (oh, how I hate mentioning it....)

Walking with my dog

Another walk with my brother (plus 'our' dog). The weather is still not good, and it's raining, even it's July...
Our dog seems to be quite, quite happy by walking between two (of her favourite) people. Her tail was swinging for the whole time while we were walking :)

We walked the same course as yesterday. My legs are in pain again, as my brother walks faster than I do, so I'm having a difficulties with enjoying the walk... I can't even enjoy watching the flowers and plants on the roadside....

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

Walking with my dog

Today's special again. My brother joined me at last, so there are some pictures for an evidence and a record of my work. AND! I took pictures of the hydrangea, so enjoy♪
We changed the course a little bit, so we took about 25 minutes to reach home. He walks really fast, so sometimes I had to run a bit... (why would he even walk faster, anyway...?)

Unfortunately it wasn't the best weather, but still cool, so it was fine.

Walking with my dog

Today's walk was quite, quite special. One, it's because my grandfather joined me, and two, it's because all the hydrangea in the park has blossomed and they are so x 100 beautiful! Last night it rained, so the waterdrop on the flower makes them look even more beautiful and pretty. Too bad I didn't take my camera... well, even I took it with me, he wouldn't know how to use it and even I teach him, he still wouldn't get it... so, leave it, please...
Our walk took 25 minutes, since we went slower than usual. I spent long time on examinning the flowers. However, my dog pulled few times so... I had to make some move. She's getting used to the walk. I'm glad.

Thursday, July 1, 2010

Walking with my dog

She's still unfit... well of course, it's only three times we've gone for a walk together...
It's only 15 minutes to 20 minutes of walk, but my legs are a bit in pain... shows how unfit I am, too. I'm getting used for a walk nowadays, so I want to go a bit futher from the Hydrangea park, but seems like "she"'s not ready for it yet, so I can't force her, can I? I might try after few more trials.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Walking with my dog

We went to the same Hydrangea park today. It's a bit cool today, without much sun, so it feels perfect for a walk! My dog was already tired on the way home, and when she entered to her house, she was dying and breathing hardly... you can see how unfit she has become... She'll get used to it if we keep on going for a walk.
I need pictures for an evidence, but I can't ask the strangers on the street to take a picture of me walking with my dog, so.... I'll take my brother next time!

Walking with my dog

First day of my Action; walking with my dog! It's still a bit cold in Tokyo these days, even though it's summer time...
An information from my family---> none of them have gone for a walk with her (my dog) while I wasn't in Japan!!! Oops! She must be in under a lot of stress! I should be her life saver! ... so I went for a little walk to let her get used to it.
Today's course is quite simple. We went to the "Hydrangea park", where the park is filled with thousands of hydrangea. Some of them were blossomed and they looked BEAUTIFUL!!!! My dog is too small... she can't see them. Our walking finished within fifteen minutes, but she was quite, quite satisfied after all. Well, obviously... because she hasn't been walking for... about 5 months (poor her!).
I hope I can keep on going for a walk with her from now on, as long as my summer lasts.

Summer time planning!

When I look at my blog I always go "ugh"... there's not much Actions... I should be doing some activities over the summer. So I planned!
To catch up with the ACTION, I decided to;
  • Go for a walk with my doggie
  • Do some exercise

These 2 are the mains of my action during the summer in Japan. I wonder how many times I can do them...

Elective

The last elective of this year, and probably in my high school life....
To make it a happy ending, I decided to make rings with beads, AND, they all loved it! I knew it! Girls love jewerlies. There are still 5 packets of beads set left... I'm planning to make them all and sell them and donate the money to one of the CAS groups.
After all, I'm glad I chose to do this elective, even though it was quite tougher than I imagined... Someone always used to say, "You learn by teaching them" (IL)... I strongly agree with him. This was a great experience. I hope I can try it again sometimes... but not next year...

Elective

Most of the girls finished making bracelets today. Everyone is happy with their final bracelet. Most of them struggled to make it, because the beads were small and they couldn't easily put them through the string. Sometimes we had troubles with the length of the string, therefore we had to change some position of the beads. Only 2 more girls to finish it, so I'm thinking to start on papers for next elective. However, one thing that messes my mind is a complain of a girl. She doesn't enjoy origami, and when it comes to beads, she doesn't like what we are making. It's really difficult, and sometimes she wants me to fly to Japan and get more beads to create particular accessories, which is... extremely difficult for me, because I've spent quite a lot of money for this elective, and I cannot spend more money for this. Except this problem, I am quite happy with the class and the progress we are making so far.

YOGA!

My friend had to leave the activity, because her school bus started leaving at 3 p.m. It feels a bit weird to be the only secondary student in the class...
Our trainer was absent today, therefore his assisstant was leading the activity today. I noticed her body was softer than our trainer (maybe it's because she's a lady and he's more muscular)... I thought she would go soft on us, but actually it turned out to be its opposite. It was the hardest Yoga class I've ever had, and my back was in pain.. crazy!!! We did so much work on our legs for warming up. I was having difficulties with walking after the class. We did bridge, jump, stretch and other indescribable forms of Yoga.
She and I got friendlier than before, since the Food and Fun Fair on last Saturday. They were both performing for their performance in British School on 28th, and 30th as an advertisement. I talked to them after their performance and that's the time when I got quite close to them, so I feel a bit better and comfortable of being in the elective. She said she's been doing Yoga for 6 years, and she also did find it hard at the beginning, but now she's used to it, so I hope I can become an expert on Yoga.

Singhala Lesson

Finally my tutor is teaching me Singhala after two weeks. I've gone 1/3 of the text book. I'm always revising what we've done and my tutor tells me to read the text book from the beginning, which I find it quite useful. I'm now better at reading, and I've noticed my speed as got faster and I'm really happy with the progress I'm making. I'm hoping to finish the book before the school exam.

Library Service

Library Service always makes me feel calm, perhaps it's because of the work in a peace area... I've organized the book shelves today. Now the seniors are not coming these days, and I'm doing work all by myself. I wish some students could join me. That way, I could get interected with them and build another friendship.

Friday, February 26, 2010

Library Service

Everyone worked hard in Library Service today. We finished organizing the DVDs last week, so today's mission was to organize the books from the beggining of the fiction section. We were able to finish 5 bookshelves. I found it easy to work today, because not many people touches those first frive bookshelves... few girls are still finding it difficult to organize the books and still figuring out their easier way to organize them. They couldn't finish it on time, therefore everyone helped them out to finish the work.
One of our member didn't come again. Hopefully he can come from next week.

Yoga!

Yoga! I needed to do some exercise, so I desided to start doing Yoga for after school activity on Tuesday, and today was my first day! There were only primary kids doing it, and my friend and I were kind of "err... is this the right place?" I found out that there were 6 primary kids doing Yoga, since quite a long time ago. The trainer was from outside of the school, and he had an assistant. He was friendly and I felt quite comfortable.
Since this was my first day, I didn't know what kind of clothing I have to have for Yoga. I was wearing jeans and a shirt, and he said it's not appropriate for it, therefore I have to bring some comfortable clothes for next Tuesday.
We spent 30 minutes warming up with music, and spent another 20 minutes doing Yoga. But the time was spent mostly for the primary kids today, because they were practicing a performance for their assembly on Wednesday... So we had to watch them doing it. I hope from next time, I can join them and do the proper Yoga.
It was difficult, of course. I didn't know that I had to bend my body so much! And I realized how tight my body was... ugh! I noticed I used to do some of the Yoga movement when I was small, but when I did it today... I couldn't do it. It was impossible. I couldn't believe how soft those kids' bodies were! Oh, my, lord... I actually saw myself in them... because I used to do those...
I'm looking forward for the next class, because I personally enjoyed it and had fun, even though it was tough and... just don't forget to bring water, towel and appropriate out-fit.

Week Without Wall 2010 to Hambantota

9th February 2010

We have arrived to the school in the morning. It took about 30 ~ 40 minutes from the hotel. Children gave us a warm welcome with a flower on their hands. Mr. De Silva and Christina helped us with translation. I have no idea why I couldn't use my Sinhala, after spending my Saturdays learning Sinhala with my tutor... (tears)
Before we started off, we had a bit of interaction with them, by playing duck-duck-goose and a relay for about 20 minutes.
We started painting the walls, both inside and outside, also the playing ground for 2.30 hours until the lunch has come to us. We were told how to get started by the school staff before we came, so we were ready for it.
We had lunch from 12.30 to 13.00, and started working again and we finished at 3.10. p.m. We spent 5 hours 20 minutes of service today. While we were resting, mothers of the children brought us king coconuts. I didn't have it since I had my water with me.
Some of us had difficulties with painting... I don't understand why, but I just kept on painting, painting, and painting and painting... It was actually fun, and I didn't get tired of it.

Week Without Wall 2010 to Hambantota

8th February, 2010

Our last WWW in the school year. We have come to Hambantota, at the bottom of Sri Lanka, an extremely dry zone. During this trip, we are going to be visiting a local school, which OSC is sponsoring after the tsunami in 2003. But for today, we were just travelling to the hotel, taking almost half of the day to get there... On the way, we have visited a national park, where we have seen hundreds of elephants, and few peakocks and other national animals.

In the night after the meal, we had a meeting with the group to discuss plans for the next day in the school. We were divided into two groups, and we'll be painting two different schools by using three days, starting from tomorrow.

Library Service

First Service day of Second Semester! At first, I was the only one who was working... 12th graders are not going to come anymore, due to their exam days are coming up soon. Ananthu was supposed to come today, but he didn't show up... Later, two girl from grade 8 and 9 came to join the CS (Community Service). Great! I have some help!
Our task for today was to organize the DVDs on the shelf, in numbers and alphabetical order. This sounds easy, but it takes a lot of time to finish it... but I'm glad that we were able to finish it on time. I'm looking for the work next week.

Elective

The elective day! I've been waiting for it since the last elective!
We did the papers again, to make the same box as we did for the last time, because I thought it's not fair for those girls who were not there to make the boxes...
Anyway, so we did it, but unfortunately we couldn't make the rid... we only made the box itself... It was going extremely slow, and I cannot believe we used one hour to just make the box, and not the rid!? It's really sad, though we'll have to move on to the next topic, therefore we are making the bracellets with the beads.

I think I should teach them faster, because when we wait for everyone to finish making one part, it obviously takes time for everyone to finish making one thing. Also, I should probably arrange the seats for them. If we put slow worker in between fast workers, then they can help each other to make the elective move smoothly. Anyway, that's what I thought from today's elective. Everyone seemed to be not enjoying it... ugh, what should I do!?
So, the goals for the next elective are;

  • Finish making beads within the given time

  • Make them help themselves, instead of always asking me

  • Make the elective fun and move smoothly.

Hopefully it will work for the next elective!

Singhala Lesson

Singhala Lesson, just day after we came back from the WWW!? Killed me...
Today, I finished the second year's book, and have started on the third year's book. I think I'm doing quite well, and I've achieved another goal of this year! Great! The third year's book is quite hard, and I can tell that I'm moving in to something harder and harder... I have to keep up with my work, that's the only thing I can do right now.
I noticed my speed of both writing and reading has been increased, and I'm more comfortable with writing. I'm really glad. Let's aim to finish the third year's book before May exam.

This is the picture of the second year's Singhala Book I finished learning today.

This is the picture of the third year's Singhala Book I started today.

Singhala Lesson

I finished the second year book today. The book was very small and had only countable pages, so it was obviously easy for me to finish it. I think my tutor should have chosen something thicker... Anyway, from next lesson, I'll be starting the new book, which is a book for third grade. "Third grade!?". Yeah, of course... I'm still a beginner... but I think I'm improving a lot! I already saw the next book, and it does look quite hard...
It's only one hour lesson, and sometimes it's not even one hour. So the only thing I can do besides this time is to look over what I've done before, and prepare for the next lesson. I sometimes wish if I could have two hours lesson, but that'll be too long for me...

Elective

Second elective day! It actually came faster than I expected it.
Unfortunately I was sick. I started having fever on Monday, and it was ok this morning, but still, I was sweating all the time while I was in the elective. I thought of staying at home, but then when I thought that I was the only leader of this elective, I thought I should come, so I got a note from my guardian saying: I will be going home as soon as the first period (elective) finishes. Yeah, and I think that was a good choice, because almost end of the elective, I was actually feeling dizzy...
Because I was like this, I thought it'll be difficult to teach 10 girls, but since this week has an election, most of the students were absent. There were only 4 girls today, so it was easier. We desided to make boxes today. We made boxes last time, but this time, it's different, more complicated, but more beautiful! Everyone was struggling, and we couldn't finish making them, but everyone got to the point where their boxes are about to be done.
I must say that this group is actually better than the last one, because they are more industrious. Well, it's quite hard to say it in front of the last supervisor...
Mrs. Lockwood joined us for a short time today. It was really fun. I'm looking forward for the next elective day!
By the way, I took my camera from home, but them I forgot to take photos....

Singhala Lesson

Today was my first Singhala Lesson day after coming back from the holiday. I could see that my skills have gone down a lot, since I haven't studies for it over the holiday. However, I was still able to read and write, so I just need to keep on reading more and that might help me. The lesson is going slow, due to my level of understanding, but I hope that I can be fluent with reading at the end of this year.

Elective

Today was my first elective of the second semester. I'm leading "Beads and Papers" again. There were 8 students with 1 absent. We discussed with everyone and decided to make items with beads for first 5 class, and then make papers after the beads. However, some had an idea of making one by one, therefore we have to have a chat again for the next time.
Anyway, we were using beads today, to make pyxies for today. It was quite easy for most of them, so we didn't use all the time finishing it. There were some times left, so we thought of making another item, but unfortunately we didn't have any small boxes to separate different types of beads, so we decided to make the simplest boxes with papers. With a small time left, everyone made at least one box for each of them. We will use those boxes for the next time. However, remembering the idea of making beads and papers one by one, I thought of making boxes with papers, but not the simplest ones. There are boxes use 6 papers in total to make one box, and they are beautiufl, so I'm sure everyone will love it. Well, this is all up to them, so I have to organize for the next elective.

Dog-walking

Happy New Year to all! Today was the first day of dog-walking this year! It was cold, of course. AAAAnd obviously I took my bro with me. I took my doggie to our spot, "The Airplane Park". The owner is not allowing dogs to enter, therefore we couldn't go inside... and especially some kids were playing football.. grrr.

Last time I couldn't get a single picture (cuz i didn't take my camera!), so I reminded myself to take it this time... and i did! Anyway, I was so glad that Maru was happy! We also met few dogs on the way. Well, unfortunately some male dogs made her upset... awww.

Well, I didn't notice very much of the surroundings last walking, but this time I noticed a lot of changes of the winter. I saw few birds I haven't seen... I got a picture! Unfortunately others were good at running away, so I couldn't get any of the picture... Well, I have no idea what bird this is... better ask Ms. Lockwood.
